About

About the Wishing Well Foundation

The Wishing Well provides new and gently-used clothing and school supplies to children 0-18 years of age who are currently placed in the foster care system in Pierce County. We are the only foster support agency of its kind working in Pierce County.

We are a nonprofit support agency focused on the well-being of abused and neglected youth within the foster care system. Our mission is to provide the clothing, supplies, and experiences unavailable to most foster kids and to retain quality foster homes in Pierce County by addressing financial barriers to accepting foster placements.

Our Partners

Another busy weekend of delivering furniture to families and youth involved in the foster care system...thanks to your amazing donations we were able to provide the following items to 5 homes in need:
6 beds
4 couches
3 dressers
3 dining tables
2 coffee tables
And...so many “extra” goodies (lamps, area rugs, kitchen/bath items, wall pictures, etc) to help make their house a home.

A special thanks to our “moving crew” (gotta love our friendships made through many years of youth soccer ⚽️)

Our biggest need at the moment is twin beds and twin boy bedding 🛌

We do have an Amazon wish list for those extra items we don't typically have donated:

So excited about all of these great items that arrived before the snow hit! We have a lot of referrals coming in for the furniture bank and these will definitely help support our youth and families! Thank you to the donors that purchased items off our Amazon list!

We also want to give a big thanks to our “moving crew” (aka good friends) who showed up to help us deliver and set up a youth moving into independent living 🛋 🛌

*Biggest needs currently: dressers, small dining tables, crib mattresses, and coffee tables
